DISPATCH AND TRANSACTION PROCESSING
Aura uses Android Phones or Tablets to provide dispatch and transaction processing in taxis. The phone or tablet operates identically to the Astra MDT by connecting to the meter to obtain fare data and Wireless Edge’s back-seat Point of Sale Terminal if used. A passenger can use Google Wallet or swipe a card on the back-seat POS terminal or the driver can swipe a card on the meter or on an encrypted magnetic swipe reader connected through the audio jack to the Android phone or tablet.
The Android phone or 7" tablet connects to your meter with Bluetooth for reading fare details and printing receipts. User friendly screens take the driver or the passenger through completion of the transaction. The 3G or 4G connection to Wireless Edge’s card processing software provides fast online authorization of transactions payment processing. Each message from the phone or tablet contains GPS data to provide location and tracking of all cars from your office.

Swipe the card on the meter, enter details such as tip and the approval and receipt appear in seconds, all at minimal processing rates as it is card present and authorized.
Wireless Edge’s hosted portal minimizes your up-front costs, you need a PC workstation, firewall appliance and a high-speed Internet service and you’re processing cards. The driver settlement module tracks charges by vehicle (driver) and displays all transactions for verification before the driver is paid. Daily, weekly and monthly reports are available to track and manage customer charges and driver payments.
