ASTRA WIN-CE MOBILE DATA TERMINAL
Astra is our next generation Windows CE touch-screen mobile data terminal for taxis and paratransit vehicles with all the dispatch features you need in a modern taxi operation. A bright 7 inch wide-screen presents the driver with large intuitive buttons and clear screens for logon, accepting and bidding for jobs, processing credit cards and viewing job and message logs. The state of the terminal is shown in the top tray along with clear icons of GPS strength, receive and transmit indicators and communications signal strengths.
Astra uses 3G cellular communications on a variety of networks to provide the most cost-effective reliable communications. Astra also has a 5-wire touch screen for long-lasting accurate and reliable operation. We have added a 154˚ wide angle camera with infra-red flash for day and night still or video capture in the car.
Astra interfaces to the popular devices you need in your taxi: Centrodyne or Pulsar communicating meter: receipt printer and a rear-seat passenger payment terminal for card transactions and advertising. It has two SD cards, up to 8 serial ports, two USB ports and digital inputs and outputs to meet all your future needs.
Navigation? Astra provides a clear map display with visual and voice turn-by-turn directions. One-touch navigation loads the address of a dispatched job and the driver is guided to the destination. The driver can enter an address such as for a street pickup.
